Systems of government perpetuating inequality. Trauma and abuse that scars the soul. Hours spent in solitude honing an artistic voice. The village of nurturing support that creates a stable foundation for growth. Faith in a God who loves both justice and mercy.

The roots may not be visible but the fruit, whether it is rotten and diseased or ripe and sweet, is evident.
